ENGLISH

In English next week we will use Wallace and Gromits Cracking Contraption Manual as a stimulus for our writing. The children will look at the inventions in the book and discuss the layout of the writing and the language and organisational devices used in it. They will then plan and write their own information page for the inventions they have been working on in class.

MATHEMATICS

Our focus in maths  will move onto learning about angles. The children will learn about the properties of a right angle and how to identify them, as well as investigating angles greater or less than a right angle.

They will also learn how to describe 2D shapes according to its properties, using mathematical language.

TOPIC

As artists we will be exploring how early 20th Century Artists have depicted machines and inventions in their art.
