LPA PASSANTE Lisa 5

Head of Primary

Lisa began her teaching career in 2000, after achieving a BA (Hons) Media Arts and English from the University of Plymouth and a PGCE from the University of Nottingham. During the six years she taught in the UK, Lisa taught across the primary age range and held a variety of roles, one of which was as a Team Teach Tutor, training teaching staff across Lincolnshire in positive handling techniques and behavioural support.

Lisa joined Nord Anglia Education (NAE) in 2006 at BISS Puxi and whilst there held the role of Deputy Head of Primary for four years as well as Acting Head of Primary. Lisa then joined another of our NAE schools, the British School of Beijing, Sanlitun in 2012, first as Head Teacher and then as Principal. During this time, Lisa achieved her National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) as well as an MSc in Educational Leadership.

Lisa returned to Shanghai in 2015, but this time on the other side of the river at NAIS Pudong where she is now Head of Primary. Lisa is thoroughly enjoying being back in Shanghai and leading the primary school.

Lisa is a keen runner and has participated in various half marathons and full marathons, including the Great Wall Marathon which she has now participated in on three occasions.  She also enjoys going to a variety of group classes, including spinning, body pump and barre.

Lisa enjoys travelling and since being in China has visited many wonderful countries combining adventure plus relaxation. Lisa makes the most of sampling the wide range of cuisine that Shanghai has to offer and loves nothing more than curling up with a good book.
