BISS Puxi Students Make the Best Authors!

Last term our primary students took part in the Jeri Telstar short story competition competing again students from around China and BISS Puxi students won in both age categories!

The Jeri Telstar writing contest promotes creativity and English writing in primary education. By entering the writing contest children get a unique opportunity to see their story in a real book.

Their task was to complete one of three Jeri Telstar stories: ‘Captain Nasty’, ‘The Slime Bomb’ or ‘The Missing Beach’ and there were some brilliant and very imaginative entries.

The two stand-out entries though came from our BISS Puxi students. Massive congratulations go to Florence Barlow who won in the 7 – 9 age group and Yoseph Kim, who won in the 10 – 12 age group.

As winners, they have both won 20 bound copies of their fiction story and BISS Puxi will receive a complete set of children’s books from the publishers, so all the other primary children can benefit from the win too!

Congratulations to you both – we’re looking forward to reading your first novels!
