It has been a wonderful year. The children have covered many themes and worked incredibly hard to practise important skills. All the teachers are very proud of all their efforts and cannot believe how far they have come. On behalf of the whole team, I would like to thank all the parents for their support throughout the year; it has been very much appreciated by us all throughout the year!
We wish you all a safe and restful summer holiday, wherever you may be and best wishes for the future should you be leaving Shanghai.
Please note that from Friday 30 June the teachers are away on holiday and will not be available via email. If you have any urgent enquiries please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope that you have a relaxing holiday and look forward to seeing you in August.

SUGGESTED LEARNING FOR THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS
There are lots of ways you can keep the children’s learning going over the long holiday. Play card games like Snap or Dominoes to match colours, shapes or numbers. Help your child practise making pictures or forming some of the letters in their name using big chalks outside, drawing with a stick in the sand or making marks on the floor with a paintbrush dipped in water. Practical activities like cooking or shopping help the children make sense of their world and develop language to compare objects and quantities. The website: www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies has some great stories, games, activities and much more.
You could also download some of the following apps to get ready for Reception.
- Twinkl Phonics- Phase 1 and 2
- Number Jacks Counting
- Hairy letters
- Hungry Fish
- Doodle Buddy
- Duplo Lego
Keep sharing stories together and above all have lots of fun so your child will come back to school with so much to share with their teachers and class mates.
Have a wonderful summer!
Many thanks again.
