  • We are also excited to announce that we will be opening a new Pre Nursery class in January, the Pre Nursery Polar Bears. I am sure you will support us in making the new teachers, children and families welcome.

FOXES AND PANTHERS

Thank you to all the parents who came and celebrated our Nursery Christmas Variety Show with us. We will continue with Christmas activities this week in the lead up to the festive holiday.

The children will make reindeer decorations and reindeer hats as part of our focused learning activities this week. We will also make Christmas cards with the children and model how to write a card. To consolidate some of this term’s learning, we will make Christmas patterns and sing winter counting songs.

The children are very excited about the Christmas party. There will be a variety of activities on offer, such as party games, Christmas crafts and cupcake decorating. All of the children will have an opportunity to try out each activity.

MEERKAT AND  WOLF CLASS

What a wonderful week it has been for all of the children. It was a delight to see them having so much fun performing in the show and they loved cooking for you.  They were very proud to share their work with you. We have had many requests for the Christmas songs so please see the links below to continue singing and dancing at home. Next week will be another big week filled with Christmas joy. The teachers are organising lots of games, cake decorating and dancing for Wednesday. This event is for children only, parents are not required to come. It will be very exciting for the children to be wearing their own festive clothing. Please do not wear  uniforms on this day as children will be disappointed when they see their peers in their Christmas outfits. For maths, we will be doing a lot of positional language as we play games both indoors and out. We continue to inspire the childrens’ imagination through the books in the class library. The stories we have read have influenced the children’s role play and developed their use of vocabulary related to the season. Last week, the children made a sleigh and reindeer and travelled around the world. We hope that this continues. For science, the children will be making play dough and sand moose with sand, washing up liquid, water and food colouring. In Literacy, there will be opportunities for children to decorate and write Christmas cards.
