What a super year! The children in Year 4 have all worked so incredibly hard and have produced some outstanding pieces of work. Their progress has been wonderful to see and we are all very proud of the children’s efforts! I would like to thank the parents for helping to make it an extremely successful year. Your support and hard work has been greatly appreciated.
We wish you all a safe and restful summer holiday, wherever you may be and best wishes for the future should you be leaving Shanghai.
The Year 4 Team
- Save the date for our “Meet and Greet,’ which will be held on Monday 21 August, where you will have the opportunity to meet your new class teacher and find out more about the daily routines of Year 5.
- Please note that from Friday 30 June the teachers are away on holiday and will not be available via email. If you have any urgent enquiries please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope that you have a relaxing holiday and look forward to seeing you in August.
Suggested holiday learning
If you are stuck for something to do this summer you could do one of the following to get ready for next year:
Write a blog or a diary of your travels. Don’t forget to include lots of pictures so that you can look back with fond memories! Which was your favourite place? Why? You could create a scrap book and then add to it each time you go on a trip. You can do this if you are staying in Shanghai too!
Review the books you have read. You could do this in written form or by filming yourself talking about the book. Why not get one of your family to interview you? You could write the questions and then film yourself answering them?
Design something which is even better than your idea in ‘The Apprentice.’ Can you convince your parents to buy it?
Practise your maths skills using Myimaths.
