    Alex Robson

    After gaining his Bachelor and then Master’s Degree in Engineering at the University of Exeter, UK, Alex worked as a Systems Analyst, before taking his PGCE in Physics at the University of Hull, UK in 2004. Since then Alex has been Head of Physics at the prestigious Alice Smith School in Kuala Lumpur and also at schools in Brentwood and Nottingham, UK, taking a significant number of students successfully to places at Oxbridge.

    Marc Curran

    Marc graduated from the Exeter University, UK with a BSc (Hons) in Biological and Medicinal Chemistry and then went on to study a Masters in Biological Chemistry, before completing his PGCE Science (Chemistry specialism). Marc is passionate about teaching and strongly believes in a hands-on, practical approach to learning. After working in the South West of England and London, Marc embarked on his international teaching career, spending 5 years in Bangkok. Before moving to Shanghai, Marc held various positions including: National Lead Practitioner in Practical Science, Head of Science, IB Diploma Examiner and Internal Assessment Moderator.

    Ross Harnett

    After graduating from the University of Bath in the UK, Ross trained to teach at Canterbury Christ Church University. He then went on to teach in two high performing UK state schools before deciding to move to international teaching. His first post abroad was at our Nord Anglia site in Beijing Shunyi. Having enjoyed his time in Beijing he decided to remain part of the Nord Anglia family and joined our team at BISS. He has a passion for delivering exciting lessons and aims to encourage a sense wonder about the world around us.

    Karolina Ochwat

    Karolina completed her undergraduate degree in Applied Linguistics at WSJO in Szczecin, Poland. After moving to London she completed MA Literature and Modernity at London Metropolitan University. Soon after, she completed MA Applied Translation Studies at the same university. To add to her academic qualifications, she has a BSc Natural Sciences (Chemistry).

    Lynette Jude

    Lynette graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Masters degree in Biological Science (Honors).  Through the Teach First programme Lynette then went on to gain her PGCE at Birmingham City University and has taught all disciplines of Science to Key Stage 4 and Biology at A level in secondary schools in inner city Coventry.  Lynette’s passion for trying new projects and engaging students inside and outside of the classroom has resulted in her leading the Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM) club, running the Duke of Edinburgh bronze award and achieving the role of Head of Key stage 3.

    Francis Gale

    Francis graduated from the University of Sheffield and returned to his college to assist in the teaching of physics as a learning mentor. This positive experience of working with young people led to him enrolling into Kings College London to gain a PGCE in secondary education. Once qualified, Frank was given a position in the North London school in which he had trained, teaching physics at GCSE and A level. His genuine passion for his subject and his enthusiasm for the development of the young people he works with are the foundations of his success as a classroom practitioner. With an honest investment in all of his students, he is excited by the potential of anyone with an interest to become a success in the field. As well as teaching science, Frank is a keen walker and climber and has assisted students in the Duke of Edinburgh award and other outdoor pursuits.

    Eimear graduated from University College Cork in Ireland in 2013 after studying science education with a major in Chemistry. Eimear has been working in an academy in North London teaching GSCE science and A level Chemistry for the last two years. Her enthusiasm for enabling young people to think and work both independently and collaboratively means that her students are always engaged with their learning.
