At the beginning of IB Visual Arts students cover a range of skills based projects in drawing and painting, design, photography and sculpture. As they develop more technical skills and awareness of different artists from different cultural context they also start to develop their own personal ideas, concepts and themes for their artwork.

As they progress into Year 13, each student independently develops a range of personal outcomes across different media before selecting and designing the set up for their final exhibition.

The students have created some truly outstanding work in the first IB Visual Arts Exhibition at BIS. I would like to congratulate them all for completing artwork to such a high standard and for the complexity and originality of the ideas and concepts explored.

The work is on show until Friday 30th March in the sixth form study room.
