This final week has been an action packed week for Secondary. Sports’ Day took place on Monday and saw students try out many athletic activities. This year, we introduced for the first time javelin and discus to the many field events. Students tried hard to achieve points for their house and win medals! The track events were also very enjoyable to watch. Students certainly showed great perseverance and effort.   Very well done to Hanoi House for being the overall winner!  And also a big well done to Pham Nhat Quang in Year 10 and Nguyen Quynh Anh in Year 9 who were named ‘Overall Athletes’ of the season!

On Wednesday, it was a pleasure to see so many people attend the Christmas Market run by our students. This is also a house event and the money raised will be used to support charities chosen by each house. The students showed a lot of initiative and creativity, as the products on sale and activities on offer were fun and of a wide variety. At the end of this event, it was lovely to attend the Christmas concert and to witness so much talent amongst our students.

Thursday was our Secondary celebration assembly. This was an opportunity to give out many certificates to award students for their effort and achievements. During this assembly, we announced the results from the Senior Maths Challenge. Although our students are amongst the youngest to take part, we are proud to announce that Minh Khoi obtained a gold certificate and Bao Anh was awarded Silver. We are so very proud of them and I would like to congratulate both of them!

May I finally wish parents and students a lovely break? It has been a great pleasure to work with your children this term and I look forward to Term 2.
