The mixed team is still unbeaten and the students have shown some great knowledge of the rules and positions, which has helped them to overcome some tough attack. There was some amazing serving from BVIS students in both games, with Yen Nhi and Kien (Year 9) scoring over 8 points each from their serve. Some great volleying from Hai Nam in the front row and even some surprising foot-volleys from a few players! BVIS won 3-0 against BIS and 2-1 against Concordia. The player of the match was Yen Nhi for both games.

The boys’ team has shown a startling amount of progress over the past few weeks and are using advanced skills to overcome the opposition very successfully indeed. During the BIS game, they defended well and Hung (Year 9) made some impressive blocks. The third game was point for point throughout but the BIS boys, just took the win with a 5 point lead. The level of skill shown in the BIS game was outstanding, so much so, that the opposition’s coach congratulated Ms. Muir and the students on the standard of play demonstrated. The boys worked well as a team and used some smashing and blocking and even head-volleys to secure their win. An impressive serving run from Trung (Year 10) saw him score a solo 11 points. The final scores were BVIS won 2-1 against BIS and 2-0 against CIS. The players of the match were Duy and Trung. An excellent show of determination and progress this week. Well done to all of the BVIS Dragons!
