The celebration of Vietnamese culture and language is a central part of the mission, vision and values of the British Vietnamese International School, Hanoi. We respect our position here and the involvement we can have as we learn so much from our counterparts, from the students, parents and staff who make up our Vietnamese community.
Last Sunday was a case in point in which so many excellent qualities, characteristics and activities were on display. Despite the awful weather, there was a great turnout and those who braved the elements were given an exciting and varied display of traditional elements of Vietnamese culture as well as others that are also of interest to young people and their parents. Jugglers, circus artists, dancers, yoyo displays and group or individual student performances complemented brilliantly the collection of stalls and decoration around the campus.
I am deeply grateful to all who attended to help make it such a special event, and to all of the staff who had come in to prepare and support this excellent time of year. As families prepare of the forthcoming Tet holiday with their own families, I do hope that all will be safe and well during this festive time.
