Both events were extremely successful and enjoyable but it is good to be back ‘home’. Your children are an absolute delight to work with, to spend time with and to watch grow in confidence and ability. They are really on the right path to becoming future leaders. How the children have responded to discussions we have opened up about climate change, and how it may affect Vietnam in the future, illustrates their growing understanding of global issues. The children are demonstrating real care and concern and want to make changes to help future generations, true leadership qualities.
You will read much more over the coming weeks and hear about lots of events to inform about climate change and its effects, all based around ‘Project Penguin’. We do hope that you can contribute and participate as fully as your children.
Over the past few weeks, Year Two children have been engaged in writing traditional stories and this week they have held their very own Book Café events. They were very excited to be reading their stories to the Year One children and then enjoying some refreshments. This gave the children a real purpose to their writing with a willing audience ready to share their ideas. Thank you to the Year Two team for organising such a creative event.
Today it was a very exciting sports day for all the children from F3-Y2. The houses competed and challenged each other to run the fastest, jump the furthest and really support their team mates. It was an extremely close event and congratulations to Hue, who won the overall event. What was lovely to witness was the sportsmanship between everyone and the support given, even when they did not win. Well done to all who took part and thank you to Miss Alicia and her PE team for organising the event. I’m sure the children came home exhausted.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
