Mrs Sarah Wild Weekly Update 29/4/2016

It has been a week where internationalism has been central to all our activities. Students have been thinking like true global citizens.

The focus of our international week has been on global warming (see Mr. Chaddock’s article). On Thursday, Key stage 3 students met with Ms. Lan (teacher from BVIS HCMC) who spoke about her expedition to Antarctica. Year 7 students then spent the rest of the morning carrying out research about what effect global warming may have on Vietnam in the next 10 years and in particular in the Mekong Delta area and presented their findings. I was very impressed by the quality of their work, they spoke well and in depth about such a complex topic. Well done to Hanoi house, who were voted best presentation!

Finally, to celebrate ‘International Dance day’ Ms. Alicia organised a very active morning where students were given the opportunity to experience 3 different types of dances.
