First of all I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. It has been a shortened week of just three days but it is fantastic as always to see the school come to life. It has also been wonderful to welcome almost 20 new children in to EYFS and Primary. It just shows the popularity of the British Vietnamese International School in Hanoi. We are extremely dedicated to ensuring your children get the best opportunities available for a successful future. Many of our new children come from recommendations by you, our current parents. We are delighted you can see the progress your own children have made and trust us enough to make these recommendations to your friends and family. We know they will enjoy the same level of care as you have and we look forward to meeting them at future events.

Our first big event this calendar year will be the Tet assembly on Tuesday 24th January at 1.30pm. We will be sending out more information on this including invites from the children but do put this date in your diary. Your family and friends are very welcome to attend this celebration and we will let you know how to register very soon.

The rest of the term will have the normal trips for each class, including the exciting residential trips for Years four, five and six towards the end of March. EYFS will be holding their Science Day on 16th February and Primary parents will all get the opportunity to witness their children’s learning during our International Primary Curriculum (IPC) exit points.

Following some research and discussion with the group of parent representatives or ambassadors, it has been decided that we will now share some of the children’s learning using Facebook groups. This should hopefully keep you much more connected to the learning of the classes your children are in, as you will receive notifications of any news or events posted on your phone or tablet, as soon as the information is sent. These will now replace the class blogs and you will receive a Facebook invite for the year groups of your children over the next two weeks so please do accept the invitation and sign up for notifications. We hope you enjoy this new format.

Have a great weekend.
