Being born in the small British territory of Bermuda, at a very early age Whitney developed a passion for exploring other counties and cultures. After completing boarding school and university in Canada, she returned to Bermuda and worked with the Department of Sustainable Development, creating and delivering a school outreach programme. In combining her passion for working with children and for cultural discovery, she decided to further develop her skill set, earning her TEFL certificate in 2012. Over the past 5 years she has taught with a vocational college in Saudi Arabia and various primary schools in Hanoi. Before joining BVIS, Whitney worked as a manager in a leading English language school. Providing lesson planning, and resource development support to primary EAL teachers across Hanoi.
When she’s not working, Whitney enjoys cooking, painting and riding local trains around Vietnam.
