Prior to teaching, Alistair spent five years working in the football industry in various countries around the world. His career as a football coach took him to the USA, China, Vietnam and Italy and provided him with the opportunity to work with people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. He then returned to his native England to train as a teacher of mathematics. He has spent his time teaching at the outstanding Bristol Cathedral Choir School, where he taught students from Year 7 to A Level and worked on developing a teaching style centered around student inquiry and investigation.
Away from teaching, Alistair enjoys playing and watching sport, with football, golf and cricket his main passions. He also enjoys playing the guitar, cryptic crosswords and reading about psychology and behavioral economics.
