It has been an incredibly busy week here at BVIS. Year 7,8,9 and 10 have been on their residential trips. The school has been quiet without them but they have had a fantastic time. The students in Year 11,12 and 13 have been sitting their mock examinations and we are looking forward to seeing their successes.
This week we formally launched our very exciting ‘Operation Penguin’ project. We are giving a life changing opportunity to one of our Vietnamese teachers who will act as ambassador to our two BVIS schools on a leadership expedition to the Antarctic. The teacher selected to represent us is Lan Cung, our Year 4 primary teacher. I know you will all join me in congratulating Lan on being selected for this prestigious role. We are incredibly excited about this project and the impact and influence this will have on our students, staff and the school community. The project is progressing at a pace and we will keep you continually updated as the project evolves.
Finally, we are making our final preparations for our biggest ever TET festival to take place on Sunday 31st January. You should have received full details about the festival and how to apply for tickets. This promises to be an another amazing event at this most special time of the year. I hope you will be able to join in the celebration and activities and I look forward to seeing many of you there.
Have a very relaxing weekend.
