U19 Badminton City Championship 26/10/2016

BADMINTON CITY CHAMPIONSHIP (U19) – 26 Oct 2016

As in previous seasons, the U19 Badminton Squad did not have much time to prepare for the city championships with the tournament taking place in only a few weeks from the start of the academic year. The squad arranged their own schedule by themselves for further practise in the afternoons after the clubs had finished. The coach – Ms Nguyen -  was very much impressed by the students’ enthusiasm.

This year, the season is also very special because it is the final one for our Year 13 students who were the first selected players when the school’s Badminton Squad was established. With all their usual determination, they played as winners, and it brought the Squad two first prizes (girls’ singles & doubles) and a second prize (mixed doubles).

For the squad members: I know you will remember many things; however, one thing to remember before competitions is to always professionally prepare your competition techniques and mentality.

I think the next generations of the Squad will still have many opportunities to shine brightly in the upcoming seasons.

We are very proud of you!

Ms Nguyen
