I trust you had an enjoyable holiday weekend. For some of our students, it was shortened somewhat as they cam e into school for exams, which have now started in full.
Last week, some of our AS level students participated in the Saigon Enterprise Challenge and did extremely well.
Our key stage 3 students also immersed themselves in the world of work this week, becoming teachers for the morning as they worked with primary school classes on Global Goals as part of Eco Week. The primary teachers were extremely impressed, and Ms Rosy said, “what a great job they did in planning, preparing and delivering their activities. It was clear to see from the reaction and level of engagement of our children that peer learning is very powerful.”
Next week there are two parents’ evenings, for years 8 and 9. Please do ensure you have appointments to see all of your child’s teachers, and remember that these can be made up until 6pm. I look forward to seeing you there.
Clubs also start from Monday, and on Thursday we celebrate our first ever Grandparents’ Day, as well as an open day to welcome prospective parents to BVIS. We’re looking forward to welcoming lots of new families as well as taking the opportunity to thank grandmothers and grandfathers personally for all they give to our children.
Finally, some great reviews of last week's production!
Have a wonderful weekend.Headteacher’s Awards
