Last week BVIS arranged a 3-days work experience for year 11 students. My placement was working in the school’s library. The world of work is relatively new to me. However, with the help from other librarians, I enjoyed working as much as helping them. Since it is close to summer, the library is one of the busiest place in school. The very first task was returning textbooks to teachers. Throughout the week, I check for books which are missing to produce a report and keeping the library neat. The most significant memory was scanning piles of books to clarify which are missing and which are not. I feel lucky as I got to work with wonderful members of staffs. I hope there will be another event like this next year.
