Juilliard visiting musician

On Thursday, BVIS had the pleasure of welcoming the virtuosic violinist, Nicole Jeong to the school. Our collaboration with The Juilliard School means that we can give our students these wonderful experiences.

Born in Korea and currently residing in Jakarta, Ms Jeong earned a master’s degree from The Juilliard School where she was the recipient of the Juilliard Alumni Scholarship and served as a teaching assistant to Stephen Clapp after her graduation. She has won several competitions and awards and has appeared as a soloist and an ensemble player with renowned orchestras in the US, Europe and Asia.

Ms Jeong worked with students all day, running workshops, presentations and two very lucky students who are learning violin were treated to a masterclass. Ms Jeong’s energy and amazing talent resulted in an unforgettable day for our students most of whom saw her perform.
