Mr. Paul Holyome Weekly Update - 09/06/2017

  • pl

This is undoubtedly my favourite part of the year. A time for final competitions and a time to showcase our many achievements this academic year.

Last week a fantastic group of primary students attended the annual FOBISIA Games in Phuket. The team had a great time and performed brilliantly in all competitions. They achieved our best ever number of bronze, silver and gold medals against some of the best schools in Asia. We are extremely proud of their achievements. I would like to thank the teachers who prepared the students well and who arranged the trip. I would also like to extend my thanks to the many parents who took the time to travel to Phuket to support the students, your support was greatly appreciated.

This week saw the start of our swimming galas involving our primary school. I am simply amazed at the quality and level of proficiency that many of our students now have. The PE department have done a phenomenal job in accelerating the progress of children in their swimming. The competitions were great fun and highly competitive. Well done to everyone involved.

Finally, last night saw our end of year music concert. What a spectacular performance by all. The complete range of talents from primary right through to secondary were on display. Like sport our music progress has been exceptional since the school opened and last night was a clear demonstration of how great our music provision is here at BVIS. Well done to all our performers.

I wish you all a very relaxing weekend.

Paul Holyome

Principal
