Emma Batten

BEd (Hons) Early Years with QTS, University College of St Mark and St John, UK.

Emma joined the KS1 team at BVIS in 2015, after five years teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Emma implemented the new PSHE curriculum at BVIS, which included creating the Imaginarium room. Emma is proud to be working at such a great school and loves coming to work each day. The first three years of her teaching career were spent in a Primary school in Plymouth, in the UK. After that she moved to Barcelona, Spain, where she taught in a large international school for 2 years. Emma enjoys swimming, reading and exploring new places in her free time. She loves travelling to new places in Asia whenever possible, sampling the local delicacies, as well as learning about different cultures.
