Mel joined Nord Anglia Education (NAE) as Principal of the British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park in January 2015 with the goal of creating a school culture focused on enquiry-based learning, innovation, and initiative.
As a passionate educator, Mel brings to the Lincoln Park campus more than 15 years in strategic educational leadership with international experience in her native England as well as France and the United Arab Emirates. Prior to joining the British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park, she led academic integration at Ecole des Roches, one of France's most prestigious private schools, and has been the head teacher at elite primary and K-12 schools in the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East. Her highly successful track record includes expertise in quality assurance, increased student attainment, student-centered learning and curriculum development.
Curtis has one principle aim: to provide the best possible learning experience for all where the issues of respect, integrity, and intercultural understanding underpin everything that happens at this NAE school.
