Christian welcomes a challenge or task and goes above and beyond expectations. Arriving to The British School of Warsaw in 2015 with limited English, Christian showed a passion for learning and quickly excelled in all subject areas and has become a star student.
Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, 16-year-old Christian has proven to be a resilient, resourceful and reflective student. Since joining The British School Warsaw, Christian has learned to play the trombone, is involved in the school choir and orchestra, and has already gained a bronze level and working towards a silver in The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award. Along with getting involved in a range of extracurricular activities, Christian has also made tremendous strides academically. Placed in higher level express maths class in Year 10 and 11, Christian was one of 11 students who gained an A* a year early. The following year he again achieved outstanding results nothing less than an A* in his remaining IGCSEs. He is now pursuing his thirst for knowledge through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
In his next pursuit Christian has created a video project about string theory for a chance to win a scholarship from Khan Academy. Christian plans to explore his passion for science and maths in hopes that he can find solutions for global problems. In his spare time, Christian enjoys learning about different cultures and customs and learning languages.
