Mr. Darren Sutton graduated from the University of Essex with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science specialising in Robotics and Intelligent Machines and a PGCE in ICT from Roehampton University. Mr. Sutton has taught in British curriculum schools in the United Arab Emirates, South Korea and the UK working as both Head of Department and Director of Educational Technology.

Having worked in two previous schools during their start up phases, Darren has a wealth of experience in developing fun, interesting curriculum that challenge and stimulate students. This includes starting the first ever Drones for Good programme in Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong, which has opened the world of innovative technology to students.

With a specialism in robotics, he is passionate about bringing technology into the classroom and developing students' skills in independent learning, problem solving and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths). Darren has worked with students from Year 3 to 13 and has always strived to develop lessons and activities that are relevant and interesting. Along with inspiring his students, he has paved the way for the first ever makerspace at Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong so that students and teachers can ideate, innovate and imagine in a creative space.

Outside of the classroom Darren enjoys playing rugby and learning about cybersecurity.
