Staff Profile: Laurie Reeve

Laurie shares his love for music with students by developing extra curricular activities that enhance the learning experience and provide high quality opportunities for the next generation of budding musicians.

Laurie developed a love for music at an early age and aspires to unlock his students' imaginations through music. Before becoming a music teacher, Laurie studied at the Royal College of Music in London and Manchester before completing a degree in Creative Music Technology at Kingston University in 2006. He enjoyed a successful career as a musician before completing a PGCE at the Institute of Education in 2014. 

Laurie aims to inspire his students through the performing arts. Through extracurricular activities and unique opportunities, he hopes to create the next generation of budding musicians. Laurie enjoys a wide range of musical activities, including producing and mixing music using new technologies.

Aside from music he likes learning new languages and practices Russian regularly and looks forward to learning Mandarin.
