- Naomi Rowan
Naomi Rowan brings her passion for music and teaching everyday to the classroom. As a Curriculum Fellow for Nord Anglia Education's collaboration with The Juilliard School, Naomi inspires her students to think about music holistically so that the benefits of studying the performing arts carries over into other subjects such as English, maths and foreign languages.
Naomi has been vital in working with The Juilliard School to develop Nord Anglia Education's music curriculum. She has led the training of music teachers in China, Southeast Asia and the Middle East and helped to implement the music programme in schools around the world. Along with her work with Juilliard, Naomi has 10 years of teaching experience in music.
Naomi's professional qualifications include a BMus (Hons) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). She completed an MBA in International Education with Keele University in 2016.
After two years of music and drama teaching at Dallam International School, Naomi moved to become Head of Faculty at St. Benedict’s Catholic College where she stayed for five years, developing her leadership skills and taking on wider responsibilities. While at the British School of Guangzhou in 2012, she was Head of House and KS4 Pastoral Leader, in addition to Head of Faculty. Initially a secondary trained teacher, she has ten years experience teaching a wide variety of GCSE courses, including Edexcel and OCR Music, BTEC Performing Arts at levels 3 and 4 and Edexcel A-Level Music.
