The brain-child of two BIS Abu Dhabi Dads who were sending their children to a local football coaching company to train and play in the under-10 Abu Dhabi Youth Football League, these same Dad’s just happened to be FA coaches and teachers who knew they could do better for less than half the price! And that’s how the idea of Falcon Sports was born….
The brain-child of two BIS Abu Dhabi Dads who were sending their children to a local football coaching company to train and play in the under-10 Abu Dhabi Youth Football League, these same Dad’s just happened to be FA coaches and teachers who knew they could do better for less than half the price! And that’s how the idea of Falcon Sports was born….
The initial plan was to pilot an under-9 football team to play in the under-10 Abu Dhabi Youth Football League with the aim of the sports club to offer further opportunities for children to participate competitively in sport.
Falcon Sports is a non-profit club where funds received go to league fees, kits, equipment and trophies. It is run by qualified coaches who work closely with the parents to make sure their child’s experience is a positive one. Falcon Sports players only have to pay a third of what the cheapest ‘outside’ coaching company charge because of the relationship and support they have with BIS Abu Dhabi allowing the use of their outstanding facilities.
This season the team finished third within their league which has been a huge achievement. Performances have improved week after week and this has been achieved through the positive attitude of the players that have attended training twice a week since September.
The squad includes eleven students from BIS Abu Dhabi, two students from Repton, and one student from Brighton College.
Falcon Sports will expand to open up to other year groups and within other sports in the near future. Watch this space…………
