I have worked with young children for over 20 years and qualified as a teacher at York St John University in the UK. As well as working as a reception class teacher, my previous roles include managing Early Years settings and being an Early Years Ofsted Inspector - so my experience with children comes from many angles! As well as Qualified Teacher Status, I have also gained Early Years Professional Status, which recognises my expertise with young children. At university I specialised in ICT and lower primary so my passion for Early Years has been with me for many years.
Living overseas had been a life-long dream for my husband and I, which we decided to make a reality in 2014. I am fascinated with the culture and values of the UAE and feel it very much matches the values we hold as a family. I am also keen to develop my skills and experience professionally and feel that The British International School, Abu Dhabi offers me the diversity, knowledge and breadth of experience I would like to develop further.
I am a fun, happy person who makes the most of life and all it has to offer! I live with my husband and our 3 children; 2 teenage girls who attend the school and our 6 year old son. My hobbies include digital photography and anything technology based. Most of my spare time is spent on family days out and adventures with my children. I love trying new things and venturing to new places. I enjoy travelling and holidays and exploring the Emirates.
