I graduated from the University of Cumbria in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education, specialising in the Advanced Study of Early Years. Since graduating I have taught classes within both the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage One in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and China.
Throughout my career I have taken on the additional roles of Computing coordinator, Mathematics coordinator and Year Group Leader. I am a passionate and nurturing teacher who encourages all pupils to reach their full potential by providing them with varied, interesting and differentiated lessons that cater for their different learning styles. My enthusiastic teaching approach ensures that the pupils I teach are engaged and eager to learn.
Having worked at BIS Abu Dhabi from 2013 to 2015 the decision to return in 2017 was an easy one. Whilst I have thoroughly enjoyed the past two years teaching in China I have missed the Middle East tremendously.
I return to Abu Dhabi bringing with me my husband and young son. I am excited to experience family life here and I am keen to show them the fabulous sights and share the wonderful experiences on offer. In my spare time I am a keen traveller and love to visit my friends and family who are scattered across the globe.
BIS Abu Dhabi is different to others I have worked. There are so many nationalities and cultures coming together it makes for a true international experience.
