Born and raised in the UK, I attended university in the North East of England and graduated with a BSc. Hons. degree in Psychology in 2000. I was recruited to work on a graduate scheme for the FTSE 100 company Misys Financial Systems, where I spent 12 months leading a team of other graduates in customer support.
It was at this time I decided I would like to pursue a future in teaching and I embarked on a PGCE at University College Worcester. I spent 10 very happy years teaching in Worcestershire across the primary age range. Since joining BIS Abu Dhabi in 2010, I have taught in Key Stage One and Two, and am currently enjoying my role as a Year One teacher.
I developed my love for the great outdoors whilst growing up in rural Worcestershire in England. My hobbies reflect this and include kayaking, horse riding in the desert, camping, wadi walking and distance running. Travel is another pleasure, particularly active holidays such as skiing. I also love to spend time socialising with my family and friends.
