Mrs Houlihan studied English and Media in the University of Limerick and then went onto Brighton to complete her PGCE in English Education.
After working in Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys and Dorothy Stringer High School in Brighton, I returned to Ireland where I taught English and History at Limerick Tutorial College, one of the top university feeder schools in Ireland.
I’m living in Abu Dhabi with my family and thoroughly enjoying the sunshine. I love running the Scriptorium Co-Curricular Activity which encourages all students to enjoy the creative writing process, regardless of their perceived ability in English lessons. Before moving to the Middle East I also trained in martial arts and have a black belt in Shotokan Karate – I find it helps me keep the students in line!
