For my undergraduate study I attended Edinburgh University and l’Institute d’Etudes Politiques in Rennes, France, and earned an MA (Hons) in French and Politics. After my studies I taught English in Asia for two years before deciding to train as a European languages teacher at Oxford University.
After teaching in Cardiff I decided to return to my hometown of Hong Kong where I taught French and Spanish in my former secondary school. It was a great experience but after seven years I was ready for a new challenge. I went back to Edinburgh to complete an MSc in International Relations after which I worked in the NGO sector in Cambodia and Australia. Although the work I was doing was directly related to education and young people, I missed the classroom greatly and therefore applied to join the MFL Department at BIS Abu Dhabi. I chose the school because everything seemed like a great fit and it hasn't disappointed!
I am a huge reader and am always looking for a new author to discover. Apart from that I love to swim, travel, learn new languages and take the occasional gym class. I am very close to my family (and friends), even though we are spread out all over the world.
