Our teachers are trained to observe and intervene where required in the health and wellbeing of children in the school.
The health and wellbeing of every single child in our school is of paramount importance. Our teachers are trained to observe this aspect of a child’s development and to be able to intervene if required.
We have 2 full-time qualified nurses at the school who work very actively with teachers to understand any medical needs of children or to deal with playground bumps and scratches.
Part of our educational responsibility is also to teach students what and how they should eat. Not only in terms of eating healthily, but also in terms of dining together so that we develop socially confident individuals.
Of course, children who are physically fit are proven to achieve more academically and so we work hard to build healthy eating into the curriculum. We also have an incredibly balanced and diverse lunch school menu which produces delicious and healthy food options at a very reasonable price.
Safety and security of children on our school premises is also an absolute priority for our school leadership and teachers. As such, we employ 24 hour security at the school and also a full time Health and Safety Manager who works with Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) to ensure we are not only compliant to ADEC requirements but also to Nord Anglia Education’s high standards.
