I graduated from Swansea Metropolitan University in 2010 with a degree in Educational Studies, recently I have gained my Post Graduate Certificate of Education through the University of Nottingham. Prior to university, I studied a Diploma in Early Years and have worked with children of all ages in a range of settings. In the UK I worked as a nursery nurse for the NHS and specialised in children’s health care. I have also worked with teenagers to support them back into education.
I have been teaching Foundation Stage 2 for two years in Doha and previous to that in a nursery. I am passionate about working with children and supporting their education through play, the learning environment and different teaching methods to suit all learners. I believe that this age is a critical time for children to gain skills that they will continue to build on through their lives.
I am an outgoing, bubbly individual who enjoys meeting new people and travelling. I love to explore different cultures of the world and visit new countries. While abroad I like to snorkel, swim and see the different wildlife. I enjoy healthy living by exercising and cooking by experimenting with new recipes.
I am excited about being part of an International, global school with an excellent reputation worldwide. The school has a lovely, community feel and I am looking forward to joining a committed and passionate team at Nord Anglia, Al Khor.
Every child is an individual with their own unique personality, and I am eager to meet and get to know each child in my class and support their leaning journey through Foundation Stage 2.
