I have been teaching for the past 16 years. My experience spans across both primary and secondary, including IGCSE and IB programmes. My leadership experience began in an international school in Doha where I was Head of Department for two years, before being interviewed for my present role at CISAK where I have been working for the last three years.
Teaching is my passion because it allows me to watch students enjoy learning on a daily basis. Also, it gives me great honour to be part of the future generations’ enlightenment. I enjoy watching not only mother tongue students mastering the use of the Arabic language, but also non-native speakers getting so much enjoyment speaking Arabic and learning about our culture. Our department’s main aim is to preserve the Arabic language and culture by sharing it with our international family of students.
At CISAK I have enjoyed the opportunity of working within such a global community. I have grown as a leader as my responsibilities have spread outside of my classroom and department to support the school making the best choices possible when presenting our school to the local communities of Qatar. I am so happy when I see the multi-cultural events that we organise for our families be so successful and positive because of the thought we as a school put in to make sure every culture is valued and represented.
