During my supply work, I was approached by an agency that deals with recruitment for international schools. This was something I had not previously thought about, but travelling around the world had always been a passion. The agency gave me information regarding different schools around the world. Compass International School, Al Khor offered me the chance to study towards my NQT year. I had never heard of Qatar and so decided to do a lot of research before I arrived here. Moving to a different country, into a different culture and a new school is one of the biggest challenges and achievements I have made so far. I am very happy that I made the move to Al Khor.
I come from a relatively small family. I have an older and a younger sister. My mother and father have lived in Liverpool all their lives and are very happy living where they are. My hobbies and interests include socialising, reading and shopping. These hobbies are practised well here in Qatar as there are so many malls to shop in, meet friends and there are a lot of cafes to sit and read in.
I am proud to be part of NAISAK due to their professionalism and excellent reputation. I encourage students to learn from one another and to display excellent behaviour for learning at all times. My classroom is a welcoming and stimulating learning environment. NAISAK is continually developing and growing and this is something I am proud to say I am a part of. The nurturing character of this school ensures ongoing growth for educations and students and it is a very supportive environment to work in.
