I decided to become a teacher, because I wanted to share my passion for learning and engage with the students in such a way that I could inspire them to take their learning further. I have always maintained the belief that every child should have access to any form of education that will enable them to become independent and responsible individuals. When I discovered that there was an opportunity to teach abroad, I was excited, as I felt that it would be a fantastic experience to teach in an unfamiliar country. It would take me out of my comfort zone and enable me to expand my skill base. This, in turn, would enable me to advance in my chosen career. I firmly believe that children should be challenged to be the best that they can be through a variety of creative approaches. Having a Bachelor in Fine Art I feel as though I can bring a new sense of creativity into the classrooms and make learning educational yet fun.
Outside of school I love outdoor activities and have frequently taken part in volunteer opportunities in England, assisting groups of children kayaking, rock climbing, gorge scrambling and even jumping into a lake! I thoroughly enjoy seeing children enjoy themselves and taking part in everything they can, both inside and outside of school.
I am very excited to be continuing my career with the NAISAK team and community. I have begun to teach a wonderful Year 1 class, who are all eager to learn, which is very positive to see. Over the course of the year, I hope to encourage and enable the children to be well-rounded, independent individuals. I believe that working together to provide your child with the best possible education is very important, so please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions.
