I completed a BA in Theatre Studies and Contemporary Performance back in 2009, which gave me a breadth of knowledge about theatre and performance. After completing a university placement at a children's youth centre, I was inspired to teach and make a positive contribution to our education system as well as to support our young people in being open-minded and well-rounded world citizens of today. I completed my teacher training in a flagship 'outstanding' school in the North of England and remained there for five years before emigrating to Thailand.
I am now heading into my third year at St Andrews and have loved every minute of it. When I started here, I was blown away by the school community and how motivated, enthusiastic and committed each and every person (staff, students, and parents) at St Andrews is. It really is a special school that is 100% about the students’ development and creating opportunities for our students to strive, learn, and grow into young adults.
My two main roles here at St Andrews are as Head of House Systems, which involves the leadership and development of the House system across the school, and Teacher of Drama and Theatre Arts. I lead and co-lead four big performance events per year, which highlight the amazing work our students create throughout the year. I believe that such student performances epitomise and contribute to the vibrant, energetic and lively culture we have here at St Andrews.
