Staff Profiles: Sam Dunn

Sam Dunn

English Teacher

I am delighted to be working at St. Andrews: a truly outstanding, inclusive and supportive international school which has a wonderful reputation for putting its students first.

Speaking as a teacher of English, of course I naturally enjoy reading fiction and poetry. I continue to enjoy teaching English because I love stories, storytelling and characters. I also take advantage of the amazing opportunities for travel in South East Asia, whether north to the plains and mountains or south to the beaches and oceans.

St. Andrews enjoys the position of being an outstanding international school while still catering for a very wide range of students and learners thoroughly and properly, ensuring that all its students’ needs are met as much as possible every single day. This is why I am proud and happy to come here each morning as one of the staff making this possible; I also love the fact that I work in a place where the word ‘happy’ is a key word in the mission statement, as this is the most important thing in life!

"Mr. Sam’s lessons are fun but we always learn a lot and we know what to do to get better in English."

"I enjoy Mr. Sam’s anecdotes when (he thinks) they are relevant to the subject we are learning."
