I have been teaching since 2010 in both the UK and New Zealand, and I am a registered teacher in both countries. Prior to this I spent time working in financial services. I have a Bachelors degree in International Business and a Masters in Leadership from the Institute of Education in London. I decided to move to Thailand because I enjoy working with students from a variety of cultures and I felt that St. Andrews' inclusive and positive ethos fits well with my own values.
When I'm not teaching I love travelling with my husband, which usually involves a lot of time spent sampling the local food! We are really looking forward to exploring Asia, and particularly Thailand, in the next few years. Day-to-day I enjoy Crossfit, painting and curling up with a good book, but I'm always on the lookout for new experiences and I will try anything once (except bungee-jumping).
St. Andrews is a unique place to work because there is such a happy vibe amongst all of the staff, students and parents. I also really like the fact that teachers are encouraged to be innovative in their practice and a big emphasis is placed on professional development, so that we are supported in achieving the highest outcomes for the students.
