Keith Wilson

Physics Teacher / Director of Learning Technologies

After completing my BEng in Physics and Electronic Engineering at Glasgow University, I taught Physics and Chemistry at a school in Kenya. Drawn by the bright lights of industry, I returned to the UK and embarked on a 15-year research career where I focused on new developments in wireless communication and was granted a dozen patents. Eventually, however, the unique rewards and challenges of working in education drew me back, and I completed my PGCE. I’ve been teaching Physics at St Andrews Intenational School Bangkok since 2009, where I’ve also been able to apply my IT background to developing the use of technology across the school.

I have a young family and I am delighted that my kids are learning at St Andrews. When I can drag myself away from coding on the computer, I play keyboards in a band and get out on my bike. I’ve always loved to travel, and Bangkok makes a great base from which to pursue this passion.

St Andrews International School Bangkok places a prime emphasis on making the school a happy place for students to learn. This also makes it a great place to teach. I genuinely enjoy coming here every day.

“Mr. Keith is an amazing teacher and I love learning with him because he actually teaches in a way that is understood by everyone and when someone doesn’t understand he takes the time and effort to teach them.”

“Mr. Keith is a very great teacher who actually got me to learn stuff. He makes Physics, a subject I thought would kill me, a fun subject.”
