I am so thrilled to have started teaching and to have become a member of the St Andrews family. I am originally from South Africa, where I completed my bachelors degree in Education as well as a diploma in management and bookkeeping. In 2006 I began teaching, starting my first year in year 1. I later moved on to Key Stage 2 where I taught year 4 as well as year 6 design and technology classes . I left teaching for a period in 2010 where I pursued a career in the corporate world. During this time I gained experience as a Personal Assistant and then moved up to become an Office Manager, however teaching was still always at the back of my mind. After realizing that teaching was most definitely my vocation I began teaching as a private tutor in Mauritius and shortly after pursued my teaching career in Bangkok in 2016. I enjoy being active and love weekends at the beach, swimming and spending time in the sunshine or enjoying a good book. I have always been interested in health and nutrition and aim to get myself back into the gym this year. I am interested in learning Pilates and anything to do with arts and crafts tends to spark my interests too. I look forward to my future at St Andrews where I have the privilege to be inspired daily by working with extremely competent and qualified colleagues as well as to work with bright, happy and talented children.
