Chinese update

  • Chinese class

This week children in Early Years learned about colours and shapes, they looked for the colours in their classroom and created their own ‘Colour Book’. The Nursery children were able to tell different shapes in Chinese and to have some fun, they used the play dough, wooden blocks and Magformers to create towers, cars and some food.

Year 1 Forbidden City children learned about pets, they introduced their lovely pets to one another and made a cute puppet of cat using paper.

Year 5 Tian’an Men group gave interview to their friends from other Chinese groups - they compared Western breakfast to Asian breakfast, talked about the difference and reported which one they prefer to have.

Year 4 practised their speaking skills by telling the story of ‘Mr Bai going on a trip’ (《白先生去旅行》).
