Chinese Update

Early Years children are learning the names of fruits. Nursery listened to the Story ‘A Little Hungry Snake’ and enjoyed naming out the many fruits swallowed by the little snake. In Reception we told the story ‘A Hungry Caterpillar’, the children then made a calendar to help practising the names of the fruits that were eaten by the caterpillar.

Linked to the Curious Cities challenge, Year 4 Summer Palace talked about the environment and pollution in our city. They did a really good job proposing some amazing ideas to protect the environment and to prevent the pollution from getting worse.

Year 2 Great Wall learnt ‘What do you have in your bag?’, they are now able to form sentences using words of stationary. Year 5 Forbidden City presented the houses that were designed by themselves.

Next week in Chinese we will be learning all about Chinese culture alongside many fun activities as finally, the Spring Festival is coming.
