Investigating Plants in Year 1

The Year 1 children have been on a trip to the flower market.

They went on a scavenger hunt to find a variety of different types of plants and flowers, learning the names of flowers along the way. The children each had 20RMB to spend on plants and flowers. They carefully selected which ones they wanted and paid the shopkeepers, making sure they received the correct change!

Once back at school the children turned into scientists, pulling the flowers apart to identify and name the petals, stem, leaves and roots. They arranged these in picture frames, carefully labelling each part.
