What Our Parents Say

With a wide and varied choice of international schools in China, we understand how important it is for you to find the right school for your child. For families already living in Beijing and for families enquiring from overseas we want to support you with your choices by providing you with as much information you need in order to make an informed decision. We thought who better to help you than some of our current families who have been in exactly the same position as you.

"We chose BSB Sanlitun without even a site visit. We did so based on the excellent and prompt communication we received. This was a wonderful first impression that proved to fully represent the school and all our experiences since then."

The Jensen's parent of Gregers, Storm, Beatrix and Majken

"I have lived in Beijing for 8 years. I have two daughters aged 5 and 1. This is our first year at BSB Sanlitun. My daughter has loved being at BSB Sanlitun since the day she first started. The teachers are very supportive and really make learning fun. The school day is full of new and interesting opportunities and fosters an environment where children feel safe and welcome and most importantly, happy."

Kirsty, mother of a Year 1 and Taopoles students

"We were warmly welcomed at BSB Sanlitun from the start. There is thought put into which class each child is best adapted to. The teachers have made learning a pleasure; our child comes home enthusiastic, engaged and eager to return the next day. Our child has benefitted from the value of team working, individual success and how helping others becomes a bonus for all with Star Citizen examples showing the way forward. Thank you BSB Sanlitun."

Mira Merme, mother of Solongo

“Since we transferred to BSB Sanlitun, my boys go to school with smiles and come home every day full of excitement and stories about their activities for the day. Becoming a part of the BSB community has been a wonderful experience for our entire family!"

Aryn White, mother of Tiernan and Liam

"The Teachers at BSB Sanlitun are terrific. They know each child's strength as well as areas where more guidance is needed and create an extremely nurturing and supportive environment.”

A satisfied mother of an equally happy Reception child

“We love the British School of Beijing, Sanlitun! We applied before moving to China, and we received quick replies to all our questions. Upon arrival, the Head of Admissions welcomed us warmly, and she's been so helpful to all of us as we made the adjustment to living in Beijing. Both our girls are thriving here as a result of their dedicated teachers. They each get the specific attention they need academically from their teachers. The British system of learning phonics has taught our younger daughter to read at a much quicker pace than we expected. Our older daughter loves the responsibility of her class running their own assembly. She memorised her lines in the first week. We love the daily email updates we receive from their teachers as it gives us so much more detail about what they are doing every day than we would normally get. And the location is just what we wanted, in the heart of the city, close to many shops and restaurants. We have a very short commute to school, which we love. We've felt welcomed by many parents from the day we've arrived, and in particular, the Parents’ Association hosts monthly meetings where all are welcome. Since many people are making an adjustment to living in Beijing, the entire parent body is very friendly and welcoming.”

Sarah Stockwell, mother of Nina and Sophia
