Charlotte Perry

Year 1 Lions Class Teacher

I graduated from the University of Cumbria with a Bachelor of Education degree with Art and Design specialism. I completed my NQT year in Year 2 at St Hilda’s Primary School in Prestwich, Manchester and then moved on to work at Bare Trees Primary School in Oldham.

I spent two years working in Year 2 at Bare Trees and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The school helped me to grow as a professional and developed my teaching style. I was given the chance to be part of the Science and Art coordinator team, which really benefitted my professional development.

During my time at University I was lucky enough to have opportunities to travel a little. This included trips to the United States, where I worked at a girl’s summer camp for two months. I also completed one of my school placements at a primary school in Krakow, Poland. From these involvements, I developed a love for travelling to new places and decided I would really like to work abroad. After gaining teaching experience in the UK I felt ready to take on a new role and applied for the job at The British School of Beijing, Sanlitun.

I have never been to China before and I am very excited to be part of a new teaching team, explore Beijing and experience what it has to offer.

What the students say

"Miss Perry is super, she loves to laugh and teach us things."

"How amazing she is!"
