In New Zealand the majority of my career has been spent in Senior Leadership roles. My various roles and recent study have inspired me to become the reflective, passionate and committed educator I am today. I continue to be drawn back to the classroom where real learning experiences can be felt. I strive to create a welcoming, safe and caring environment founded on the love of learning. For the past two years I have worked in a paperless classroom where devices were used 1-1. My love of learning is brought about from inquiry learning and design thinking. I thrive when working on STEM Projects, and collaborative learning is part of my everyday practice.
Teaching at an international school has been a personal goal. When a position at BSB, Sanlitun became available, I saw an outstanding opportunity that could not be missed. Being part of the BSB team was the perfect fit not only for myself, but also my two children. Moving to Beijing is my second international move; my family and I are looking forward to living in Beijing. I am excited about being part of a highly qualified teaching team, an ambitious ethos and a supportive school community.
